| MultiSource releases DataCom2000 information management center (IMC), the new generation of contact management software |
| San Diego, Calif. (Aug. 24, 2003) -- MultiSource is now shipping DataCom2000TM. DataCom2000's technology provides a seamless software solution integrating telecommunications with its Business, Contact, and File Cabinet Managers using a one-time record entry system. DataCom2000 consists of personal and contact information management, organization and group activity scheduling, project management, data exchange, database management, multiple website viewing, Intranet exclusive viewing for clients, business contact grouping, international time and schedule synchronization, investment calculations, computer system alarm, and direct access to user's internet browser, email, and other system programs. |
| "The IMC will eventually make the stand-alone PIM, contact manager, and fax software obsolete," predicted Tom Grant, president of MultiSource. "The DataCom2000 information management center has taken contact and personal information management to the next level. The IMC is as important to the PC user for personal productivity as the word processor and spreadsheet." |
| DataCom2000 provides design features not found in other contact management software. One key feature is the virtual File Cabinet which holds unlimited file folder groups, each consisting of ten folders. A folder can hold text and a variety of image formats. A folder group can be created, assigned, viewed, and is accessible from individual Contact Manager and Business Manager records as well as the File Cabinet Manager. |
| Another key feature is the broad capabilities of its integrated fax with custom recipient broadcast databases. The fax also works independently of the DataCom2000 Contact and Business Managers. |
| The MultiWeb Viewer feature allows the user to instantly move between websites of a MultiWeb group, consisting of 1-20 sites. Companies can preset and restrict the use of Internet and Intranet sites on an individual computer basis. A company using DataCom2000 can distribute the MultiWeb's Client Viewer software to their clients or customers in order to view company website locations not open to the public. The MultiWeb client viewer software works independently of DataCom2000. |
| The new software's telecommunications, information processing, scheduling capabilities, and world time features are an asset to the traveler using a notebook PC, especially to those who have to synchronize schedules, meetings, and phone calls between time zones. |
| The DataCom2000 Business Manager allows the grouping of related contact names, or full contact records, under the primary company record. This allows easy access to a company's representatives, multiple branch locations, consultants, agents, or subcontractors when doing business with that firm. On a personal basis, it is convenient for grouping records of family members or grouping records of social organization members. |
| DataCom2000 is available for purchase on-line through the MultiSource e-commerce site at http://www.multisource.com or inquiries through local retail dealers. A demo is available on the MultiSource website for downloading. DataCom2000 is designed to run on Windows 95, 98, 98SE, and WinXP for individual and network use.
